Bind

  • I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

  • how can someone enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house. Mt 12:29 ESV

1Strong man refers to Satan as several Commentaries suggest. Read SATAN

Command

  • when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” Mark 9:25 ESV
  • Truly, I say to you, whoever 1says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he 1says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Mark 11:23 ESV

a primary verb (used only in the definite past tense, the others being borrowed from 2046, 4483, and 5346); to speak or say (by word or writing):–answer, bid, bring word, call, command, grant, say (on), speak, tell. Compare 3004.

COMMENTS: Just as a soldier uses different weapons in his armamentarium at different times, use all the weapons (ask, bind, command) at your disposal till you get the desirable end result (answer to prayer).
