1. Infant baptism

- Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved Mark 16:16 NIV
Prior to baptism the individual should have believed and repented. There is no provision for Infant Baptism.
2. Prayer through mediators
- For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 AMP
- Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? Isaiah 8:19 NIV
Other versions
- For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all—the testimony that was given at just the right time. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 BSB
Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man.
5. Are all Bible versions similar?
The simple answer to the question is No.
Mainline Bible versions include ESV, NIV 1984, KJV, NKJV, NASB, NRSV, AMP & AMPC. Check out these versions HERE
There are a lot of versions commonly referred to as paraphrases. However not advisable to use these for serious Bible Study.
6. What does the Bible say about idol worship?
What do I imply then? That food offered to idols is [intrinsically changed by the fact and amounts to] anything or that an idol itself is a [living] thing? No, I am suggesting that what the pagans sacrifice they offer [in effect] to demons (to evil spiritual powers) and not to God [at all]. 1 Corinthians 10:19-20 AMPC
In other words, idol worship = demon worship
