  • And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands and territoriesActs 17:26 AMP
GOD has an exact place for us to stay at any one point in time.

Go where GOD has told you to go

1. Jacob - Bethel

  • Look, I am with you, and I will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this landEarly the next morning, Jacob took the stone that he had placed under his head, and he set it up as a pillar. He poured oil on top of it, and he called that place Bethelthough previously the city had been named Luz. Genesis 28:15,18-19 BSB
  • Then the LORD said to Jacob, “Go back to the land of your fathers and to your kindred, and I will be with you.” Genesis 31:3 BSB
  • I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the pillar and made a solemn
vow to Me. Now get up and leave this land at once, and return to your
native land.’ ” Genesis 31:13 BSB
  • Jacob went on to Succoth, where he built a house for himself and shelters for his livestock; that is why the place was called Succoth. Genesis 31:17 BSB
  • Then God said to Jacob, “Arise, go up to Bethel, and settle there. Genesis 35:1 BSB
  • So Jacob and everyone with him arrived in Luz (that is, Bethel) in the land of Canaan. Genesis 35:6 BSB
  • The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you, and I will give this land to your descendants after you.” So Jacob set up a pillar in the place where God had spoken with him—a stone marker—and he poured out a drink offering on it and anointed it with oil. Jacob called the place where God had spoken with him BethelGenesis 35:12-15 BSB
  • Later, they set out from Bethel Genesis 35:16 BSB
  • Israel again set out and pitched his tent beyond the Tower of EderGenesis 35:21 BSB

2. Israelites - Canaan

  • Now the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad had very large herds of cattle, and they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead [on the east side of the Jordan River], and indeed, the place was suitable for raising livestock … They said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not take us across the Jordan [River].” Numbers 32:1,5 AMP

GOD’s Will = His best for us. GOD’s plan/promise/will for the Israelites was the land of Canaan (Exodus 6:4) across the Jordan (Deuteronomy 11:31) a land flowing with Milk and Honey (Exodus 3:8) where one cluster of grapes had to be carried between two people on a pole! (Numbers 13:23). However, seeing a land on the way that was suitable for livestock, some Israelites chose that over GOD’s will!

3. Paul - Macedonia

  • Then a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man from [the Roman province of] Macedonia was standing and pleading with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” And when he had seen the vision, we (including Luke) tried to go on into Macedonia at once, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. Acts 16:9-10 AMPC

4. Paul - Rome

  • But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.” Acts 23:11 NKJV
