When Jared was a hundred and sixty-two years old, he became the father of Enoch. Jared lived eight hundred years after the birth of Enoch and had other sons and daughters. So Jared lived nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died. When Enoch was4 sixty-five years old, he became the father of Methuselah. Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God 5three hundred years after the birth of Methuselah and had other sons and daughters. So 6all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And [in reverent fear and obedience] Enoch walked with God; and 7he was not [found among men], because God took him [away to be home with Him]. Genesis 5:18-24 AMP

Notes

2Enoch started walking with God after the birth of Methuselah. 4This was at the age of 65. We can all start waking with God whatever age we are.
3Enoch was a family man; not a hermit. In spite of this, he walked with God.
5,6From the time Enoch started walking with God, he continue walking with God till his life on earth ceased. Age 300 to Age 365.
7Enoch joined the exclusive club of only two people (the other being Elijah) so far who were taken up without see death.
