PRIORITIES IN LIFE

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

First Priority: GOD

  • Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ Mark 12:30 BSB
  • Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ Matthew 22:37 NKJV
  • But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. Matthew 6:33 AMP
Christian Ministry not necessarily equivalent to spending quality time with GOD (e.g. in Prayer/Worship/Word).

Second Priority: Family

  • If anyone fails to provide for his own, and especially for those of his own family, he has denied the faith [by disregarding its precepts] and is worse than an unbeliever [who fulfills his obligation in these matters]. 1 Timothy 5:8 AMP
Let us also remind ourselves to not be “too heavenly minded to be of any earthly good”.

Third Priority: Ministry

  • But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry32 Timothy 4:5 BSB

The verse below can help set our priorities right.

  • So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal2 Corinthians 4:18 BSB
Other versions

  • So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable. 2 Corinthians 4:18 AMP
