Basics of the gospel

  • Sinners are separated from God,
  • Jesus died to save us from sin
  • We enter into the Kingdom by receiving Jesus through repentance and faith.

  • Gospel = Good news
  • Study = Theory followed by Practical
  • Practical encounter with gospel followed by Theory of the gospel
  • Loving GOD: Created man for fellowship/sonship
  • God told man to not do something but he disobeyed.
  • Sin = wrongdoing
  • One Lie – Liar. Likewise one sin – sinner
  • Adam sinned – passed on sin to all humans
  • Sin separates us from GOD – now and after this life
  • God says all sinned – if anyone says not, they make out God to be a liar
  • Holy GOD: cannot associate with sinful man
  • But loving God devices means to restore
  • Just GOD: Sin punishable – wages of sin death – punishment soul death
  • Only way to escape punishment – Someone else had to take the punishment
  • But that someone had to be sinless person
  • No man could pay because all sinned (sin nature passed on)
  • GOD sent Jesus – lived sinless life – died bearing/carrying all our sins upon Himself – rose again 3rd day

  1. Admit (sinner) & Ask for forgiveness (repentance). Ref AA 
  2. Believe (Jesus died for you bearing your sins & God raised Him from the dead)
