How to Fight

1. Using Prophesy

  • This charge and admonition I commit in trust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with prophetic intimations which I formerly received concerning you, so that inspired and aided by them you may wage the good warfareHolding fast to faith (that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence) and having a good (clear) conscience. By rejecting and thrusting from them [their conscience], some individuals have made shipwreck of their faith. 1 Timothy 1:18-19 AMPC

Other versions

  • This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck 1 Timothy 1:18-19 NKJV

2. Using Prayer

Example:

Epaphras

  • He is always wrestling in prayer for you, so that you may stand mature and fully assured in the full will of God. Colossians 4:12 BSB

Moses

  • As long as Moses held up his hands, Israel prevailed; but when he lowered them, Amalek prevailed. Exodus 17:11 BSB

As long as Moses held up his hands (in prayer; see below), Israel saw victory.

Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. Daniel 10:12-13 BSB
  • “Do you know why I have come to you?” he said. “I must return at once to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I have gone forth, behold, the prince of Greecec will come. But first I will tell you what is inscribed in the Book of Truth. Yet no one has the courage to support me against these, except Michael your prince. Daniel 10:20-21 BSB

4. Using Praise

  • Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Psalm 149:5-9 NKJV
