Those who finished their Ministry
- Paul: But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:5-8 BSB
- David: For David, after he had served God’s purpose in his own generation, fell asleep, and was buried Acts 13:36 NASB
Other versions
- For David, after he had served God’s will and purpose and counsel in his own generation, fell asleep [in death] and was buried among his forefathers Acts 13:36 AMPC
