GOD has multiple plans for us. If Plan A does not materialise, there are Plan B and Plan C etc. This is not written as permission for sin, but for comfort for those who may have fallen.

1. David & Solomon
- Why then have you despised the command of the LORD by doing evil in His sight? You put Uriah the Hittite to the sword and took his wife as your own, for you have slain him with the sword of the Ammonites. 2 Samuel 12:9 BSB
she gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. Now the LORD loved the child and sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah because the LORD loved him. 2 Samuel 12:24-25 BSB
It was never GOD’s plan for David to marry Uriah’s wife Bathsheba. However, the Bible says that God loved Solomon; David’s son born through Bathsheba.
2. Joseph
- And now, do not be distressed or angry with yourselves that you sold me into this place, because it was to save lives that God sent me before you. For the famine has covered the land these two years, and there will be five more years without plowing or harvesting. God sent me before you to preserve you as a remnant on the earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. Therefore it was not you who sent me here, but God, who has made me a father to Pharaoh—lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt. Genesis 45:5-8 BSB
