PLEASE GOD

Key Verse

  •  try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Eph 5:10 NASB

People who pleased GOD

  • Enoch: before he [Enoch] was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. Heb 11:5 NIV
  • By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5 NKJV
  • Moses: At this time Moses was born, and was well pleasing to God Acts 7:20 NKJV

What Pleases GOD

Faith

  • without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
See example
  • when Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, begging Him, and saying, “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, terribly tormented.” Jesus *said to him, “I will come and heal him.” But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” Now when Jesus heard this, He was amazed and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.

Praise & Thanksgiving

  • I will praise God’s name in song and exalt Him with thanksgiving. And this will please the LORD more than an ox, more than a bull with horns and hooves. Ps 69:30-31 BSB
