God looking for seekers

God asks us to seek Him continuously.

Purpose of Life

  • And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands and territories. This was so that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grasp for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. Greatest reward

What is the greatest reward you can get from God? God himself i.e. His Presence

Benefits of Seeking GOD

1. GOD's Presence​

  • you will seek Me and find6 Me, when you search7 for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV
  • Seek5 the LORD while He may be found6; Call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6 NKJV
  • Then they will seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.” … He will come to us like the rainLike the latter and former rain to the earth. Hosea 5:15-6:3 NKJV

Search = specifically to worship

In other words, when one worships God with all their heart, God’s Presence appears i.e. one has an Encounter with God.

2. Favour & Blessing

Not seeking God not good

Seek God early

How does one seek God?

1. Worship

Search=specifically to worship
Find=
to come forth {to} that {is} appear
In other words, when one worships God with all their heart, God’s Presence appears i.e. one has an Encounter with God.

2. Fasting

  • Fasting: Jehoshaphat was afraid and turned his attention to seek the LORD; and he proclaimed a period of fasting throughout Judah. 2 Chronicles 20:3 NASB

3. Prayer with Fasting

 
  • Prayer with Fasting: So I directed my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashesDaniel 9:3 AMP

Permanent vacancy in Heaven

  • the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. John 4:23 NKJV

Seek also

  • Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1 AMP
