WHY:
- all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Rom 3:23 NIV
- the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 6:23 KJV
- your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. Is 59:2 NKJV
WHAT CAN BE DONE?
- If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. 1 John 1:9 AMP
- “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins Acts 2:38 AMP
- “Believe in the Lord Jesus [as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him] and you will be saved, you and your household [if they also believe].” Acts 16:31 AMP
- Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.”And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Psalms 32:5 NIV
